I have seen original Navy test data on the Command sets that seem to 
disprove the spurious emissions charges against this equipment. The 
military was concerned about these issues when they bought  the stuff. I 
believe that when properly installed and used they were pretty good. 
Obviously the units were improved to deal with frequency drift under 
aircraft conditions of  varying temperature - hot desert temperature on 
the ground to below freezing at altitude, lower atmospheric pressure at 
altitude, etc. but  when tested, pretty good.
