This is an A.R.C.-make BC-453.
Only about 2400-2500 of these were made under order
number 1470-NY-41 before the SCR-274N was subcontracted out
to Western Electric, under order 1509-NY-41, so A.R.C.
could concentrate on Navy sets which were still evolving,
meaning more R&D contracts and
adoption of A.R.C. design improvements
(translation: The Navy had more money to spend).
Sets of this order number are difficult to find,
being the first production run of SCR-274N.  They are
built to the same fine standards as the RAT receivers.
