[ARC5] SCR-183 coil sets

Jack,
  That's the one.When I first got it I thought "What an odd way to mount 
a mica cap" as that's what I thought the crystal was until I took it 
out.As I recall,the "chart" tag had the crystal frequency 
printed/engraved on it.
 I wonder now what else used the DC-10 crystal units?
 Mystery begets mystery!

I have one of these crystal controlled coil sets, 
the designation is C-184. It has a DC-10 holder 
which is held in place by two small Dzus fasteners 
just as Jay described. The frequency is 4495. Wasn't 
that a common Army Airways frequency back in the 40s? 
 
I have some info on another one, called a C-182 described 
in the book for the SCR-AF-183 (TM-11-200). Unfortuneatly 
all I have is the two pages describing the coil unit, not 
the whole manual. 
 
I have the manual for the AN, AS and AR if anyone needs the 
coil info for those sets.
