Having the crystal held in by mini dzus fasteners is a bit intense as
well.  Besides, where would it go unless it replaced the oscillator
coil?  In a momentary fit of fancy, there is the possibility of either
a one-off experiment or an unofficial field mod.

But, yes.  Odd.
