To keep a perspective on the "Audio Elite"  I part with a few hard  earned 
dollars every few years and buy one of the Rabid Audio books at a local  book 
store.  Stereophile Magazine is the publication's name if memory  serves me.  I 
hate to part with even a copper coin on such absolute crap,  but the reading 
is enough to keep me and some of my old colleagues laughing for  weeks to come. 
 I am sure there are other publications that cater to this  segment of the 
snake pit, but you will have to find those yourself.  There  are also some 
pretty extreme news groups that speak to Audiophoolery too.   but I got bored with 
their rants  some years ago.  Glowbugs and  Command sets are about all I can 
deal with these days...not because it makes a  lot of sense either, but because 
it is fun....
