[ARC5] ARC-4/ARC-1 question

Hello Group,
 The AN/ARC-1 and -4 use the same mounting rack/shock mount except that the power connector is rightside up for AN/ARC-4 and inverted for AN/ARC-1. The ARC-4 manual calls for CX-182/ARC-4A mounting rack harness and the ARC-1 manual calls for CX-181/ARC-1 harness. All the connectors are the same but the two assemblies are wired differently.Rather then rewire an ARC-1 harness to be an ARC-4 harness would someone be willing to trade a CX-181 for a CX-182? Or the whole rack?
 And why was this done anyway?Save money? Just adds to the confusion IMHO.
