I'd like to analyze the output side of the BC-459/T-22 in order to
understand how to load it properly, etc.
I can estimate the source resistance of the 1625's from the HT voltage &
current drain using the ARRL formula 0.5 * Vp * Ip. The inductance of the
tank coil can be calculated.
However, I need information about the coupling coil. Does anyone know how
many turns, and what diameter this is (for a 7-9.1Mc unit, please)?
At the maximum setting of the antenna coupling control, are the tank and
coupling coils coplanar? If so, I assume that a coupling coefficient of 1.0
isn't too far from realistic?
Thanks for any info. If I get any results I'll write them up here.
