[ARC5] ARC-5 series nomenclatures A, B, N, etc.

Followed the thread regarding the Modulator and 2 BC-454 receivers for sale by a vendor on ebay. I bid on both so they wouldn't "end up in the scrap heap". Another post mentioned BC-454's available in only A and B flavors, rather than plain.... which reminded me of one W.E. manufactured receiver I have marked BC-454-E. Not A, nor B, but E. Common? The only significant change as far as I could tell: the wire going to 12K8 mixer comes out at the TOP of the main tuning capacitor shield, rather than the "bottom" (within an inch/2.5cm of chassis) as is usual. As it was missing said shield, had to make due with a 'regular' shield - with a new hole.... Bill KA3AIS
