But in that scene,Kirk is talking into a T-17 mic and is being received on a TCS. So they did get it right sort of.

Speaking of B-25's, the Tennessee Aviation Museum in Pigeon Forge / Seiverville, TN has a B-25 mock up...with removable panels.  They know that it was used in filming Kirk Douglas on his suicide mission in John Wayne's "In Harm's Way".  They don't know if it was used in "Catch 22" or not, a movie rich in B-25's (they even crashed one for the film!)  The removable panels allow for filming inside the cockpit from just about any angle.  It was made from an actual B-25.

 

About the only visible radio gear in it today is a three receiver control box with no cables.
