Interesting...the flight manual (repro) that I have for the B-25 shows a full complement of radio gear matching that of other contemporary USAAF bombers: SCR-287 (BC-348, BC-375), SCR-274-N (3-receiver, 2 transmitter), SCR-269 ADF, etc.
The MN-26 RDF isn't all that unlikely a DF set, I guess, though not as capable or easy to use as the SCR-269 or AN/ARN-7 ADFs. Like some other Bendix commercial sets in military service (RTA-1B = AN/ARC-9), it had an official JAN nomemclature (MN-26C = AN/ARN-11) that is seldom used and never actually marked on set components. The repro flight manual I have for a P-61 describes its AN/ARN-11 (MN-26) installation.
