[ARC5] NXsa-38075?

David,

I stole a bit of time to check my decent ARR-2 setting next to me (that
I've been working on cleaning up) and a couple of ARR-2s I stumbled across
a few weeks ago in the storage garage at the back of the property (got so
dang much stuff stashed here 'n' there that I plumb forgot I had 'em.
Still don't know when and where the heck I got them. :-\ )

Anyway, here's what I have:

R4A/ARR-2 NXsa 38075 s/n 20949:CW

R4A/ARR-2 NXsa 38075 s/n 15669:CW

R4A/ARR-2 NXsa 21693 s/n 2512:CZR

The only unit that had anything resembling "dates" stamped upon it was my
good one, #3 in the list above. However the stampings are not typically
what I think are acceptance test dates. May not even BE real dates. Could
just be mod info. Stamped in white ink near the top of the front panel
between the two tags is "TN 87 44" and stamped in white ink just above
the bottom of the front panel is "156 OH 7 53". No other stampings
indicative of dates, modification orders, acceptance, etc. are anywhere to
be found on that unit.

Both of the other units have a small anchor with U and an S on either side
of it stamped in reddish-orange-colored ink on the upper left of the front
panel. Looks like the typical Navy acceptance stamp. Nothing else
observable on the units, especially as to dates.

I discovered another neat thing: it's a C37/ARR-2A electric tuning control
adaptor, NXsa 36952, s/n 18777:CW. It was laying separate in the box and
both ARR-2s had adaptor plates for this motor drive bolted to their front
panels (just one C37 though :-\ ).

Is there an online ARR-2 manual to be found anywhere?

Other treasures I found in that box were a BC-451A, BC-442-A, RE-2/ARC-5, a
partially dismantled (grrrrr!) C38/ARC-5, and partially dismantled BC-450
(well, I've got two good ones of those).

Hope this helps.

Comments on the C37/ARR-2A?

Best regards, Chris F.

< Still racking my brain as to where the dickens I got these
things. :-\ Oh well, I found a half-dozen other boxes unopened that may
yield yet more fun and surprises! Probably not mil-related, but
nevertheless interesting to rediscover what they are. I have TMS syndrome.
TMS = Too Much Stuff. Rapidly approaching TDMS (Too Damn Much Stuff).
Looking to start therapy soon before TFMS sets in and my wife diagnoses it!

NNNN

Upon the date 08:12 06-05-05, David Stinson said something like:
>If you have an ARR-2 or -3, please look at the contract number
>on the tag. Is it NXsa-38075 or some other number?
>Is there an acceptance test date stamped on the unit?
>Thanks.
