I understand, and I haven't made myself clear- my fault.
I'm not addressing you, personally, Marty,
as though you claimed the
repeaters were SOP all the way back to '42.
There are several other people, including some who
have written me the same emails about it for oh,
eight or nine *years*, who *do* hold this belief
and cling to the idea of "No HF" even in the
face of the clear evidence.  They are the
source of my head scratching and "sigh."
I should have made that clear in the beginning- sorry.
