[ARC5] Undoing a BC-453 conversion

The 1.5 - 3.0 ARC-5 type receiver works
quite well as the I.F. for various ham
converters from the 40s and 50s. I used
one with a Morrow 5BR-1 converter as my
main station receiver back in the late 50s.

If it were mine, I would try to restore it to original depending on how
badly it is butchered. If it is missing covers and bottom plates, it
might be possible to find replacements.
If it is cut up pretty badly, you might opt to complete the
modifications and turn it into something useful. However, I am not sure
how useful it would be. I think it uses a pretty high IF so selectivity
might be less than might be desired.
Also, you dont need to rip out the stock connectors to do a
modification. I have ripped them out in the past and have always
regretted doing so.
