I never knew the difference between the j37 and J38 keys. I was not a radio
operator. I was mostly a gunsight/radar tech.
We had the ART-13/BC-348 in all our multiengine prop aircraft except the
C-45s. C-54s, C-119s, B-29s, B-50s, B-36s. and C-124s.
We also often had to press the throat mics against our throght to get usable
audio. They worked better as a lip mic.
