Thanx to all of you that have provided feedback and
info on my ARC-5 .. I retrieved the unit out of my
library building in order to read the data plate ..

This unit appears to have been navy production as
there is an anchor stamp on the rear of the unit
next to the power connector .. I do not see any
lettering anywhere that would indicate a date
of manufacture .... does anyone have a serial
number list that shows ranges of serial numbers
by date of manufacture ??

Anyway, the unit is a:

T-22/ARC-5
NXsa20124, serial# 67xx, and what may be
a manufacturer code of "CCT" ..

I would like to find a transmitter rack
that this unit would mate with, and perhaps
info on a dynamotor supply that was made to power
this unit ..

Did the B+ for the transmitters come from a
combined dynamotor/modulator unit ???

All of the original tubes are installed, and the
crystal unit in this one is for 8870 KC

I remember the ARC-5 that I had as part of my first
novice station in 1964 having an 8000 KC crystal
but that transmitter was the bright aluminum finish
and also was the 7-9.1 MC range, but I don't think it
was a T-22 ...

Subject: 7-9.1 MCs ARC-5 XMTR:

I have what appears to be a clean/mint condition
ARC-5 transmitter for the 7-9.1 MCs range ..

The red glyp on the chassis screws don't even
appear to be disturbed .. This model is the black-wrinkle
finish ...

When I obtained it some years ago, I stored it in two
sets of plastic bags in order to keep even dust from
settling on the finish ...

Anyone have a guess as to value ??
