I've been working for years to "connect the dots" on military
aircraft command radio history from the earliest days
until Korea. I'd like to publicly acknowledge three
of our members for recently filling big holes in that history:
To Philip McCoy, who graciously sent a copy of the manual for
the very first Navy GF radio, filling a critical gap in the history.
To Hue Miller, who outbid me on some very early A.R.C. documentation,
then generously let me borrow it to copy (I finally sent it back, Hue).
To Wally Chambers, who has worked as long as I have on this
and has provided outstanding information, especially on
contracts and dates for the Command Sets (Yes, I'm still
compiling the whole list for posting- patience).
There are many others (and they will be mentioned subsequently),
but I wanted to especially thank
these three for their recent, valuable contributors to our community.
