[ARC5] What is an "ARC Type 15" radio?

Folks -

  I hope this question is not too far off-topic for this group...

  We've all seen ARC Type 12 receivers like the R-11 & R-19 -  they have
the same general shape as the familiar WWII ARC-5 & SCR-274-N & ARA
receivers but have no local frequency dials and are finished in a gray
wrinkle-finish paint.

  What radios are in the ARC Type 15 family?

  What differentiates ARC Type 12 from ARC Type 15 radios?  Just age?
