Hi Mike -

Congrats on the find! Sounds like you took a major leap forward in the
'locating unobtanium' search.

Couple observations. First, I'm one of the guys who has seen bare aluminum
shock mounts, even turned some down recently in favor of the black painted
version which suit my station needs better. They were indeed SCR-274-N as
they have ID plates which the seller posted the information from. If you'd
like, I'll see if I can get a few pictures.

Next, most of the shock mounts I have are indeed screwed onto the frame and
not riveted. They have the correct nomenclature tags on them for the
application, too(SCR-274N, ARA). I'll check again tonight, but even the
older ARA/ATA models have a small Phillips screw arrangement for holding
them on, which is them painted over to prevent loosening. I think the single
receiver ARC-5 mount (MT-7?) is riveted.

Lastly, I do have some FT-222-A mounts arriving with the other gear, but
I'll only trade them for equivalent pieces I need to complete my ARA/ATA and
ARC-5 stations. I'm not well-versed on much of this, so the specific
numbers(were there any?)are not within my knowledge bank. Most of the stuff
I'm receiving is SCR-274-N and will be available for trade towards the
pieces I need. First box contained a pre-war ('41 contract) shock mount for
the antenna relay, in black, along with some transmitter control boxes and
mounting plates and connectors. More to come.
