Hi, Guys

For those who have written concerned that I'm going to take a jack
hammer and power drill to my nearly MINT T-22, please rest easy in your
minds.

Of course I could DO that, but why? I LOVE it just as it is; I simply
want to be able to use it on 40 cw, not MANGLE it.

I have received some very helpful info from David Stinson who makes the
point very well when he wrote:

"The only "modifications" needed to a Command transmitter if you're
not going to use the whole set-up are simple and 100% restorable."

Then he details replacement of the bathtub caps, a little magic in the
antenna relay and selector relay, cleaning the roller coil assembly, and
finally advises a 4:1 UNUN between the ARC-5 antenna connector and the
52-ohm coax feedline (if applicable).

I have no intention of destroying the collectible value of my T-22 by
drilling holes in it! That was never my intention. Now we can all
breathe easier.

And while we're breathing, I could still use some info on powering the
old gal. (Voltages, current requirements, pin numbers etc.) Someone
even suggested the use of a Heathkit HP-23 power supply but left it at
that with no further info. So, any help you can sling my way will be
very much appreciated. Tanx tons!

73,

Ron - K5MVR
