** I am planning to put up a RadioWorks Carolina Windom 160 this spring.  I
** am going to mount it as an inverted Vee and I want to get the center
** support up at least 60 feet.  I don't have any trees in the yard, and I
** also want the center support to be plastic so that it won't interfere with
** the radiation pattern of the antenna.  Has anyone had any experience using
** 2" diameter schedule 80 pvc pipe for a support mast?  I am wondering if I
** used three 20 foot long sections and glued them together with standard
** couplings, if I would be able to make a hinged base and walk the mast into
** position without breaking it?  If I can get it vertical, I can guy it and
** it will be fine.  I'm just not sure if I can raise it without breaking it.
**
** Any feedback and ideas you have would be greatly appreciated.
**
** Tnx es 73,
