[Antennas] opinions please

While very nice, forget the remote, automatic antenna tuner until you get
more money available....just use a tuner in the shack.

than the cost of a tuner at the shack.

What is the effect upon a vertically oriented antenna, such as an inverted
L, in  a piece 'of land, full of trees all around'..?
