Looking for recommendations on a end mount 2m/440 Dual Band Beam.

Is cushcraft the only one that makes one?

My .02 cents worth,
I use the Cushcraft 270-10s dual band beam here. It is mounted vertical and
I have used it for 2M and 70cm fm dx'ing and for satellite work as well. It
was able to hear the sats as soon as the predicted pass started until it
ended. I bought this beam just after I became a ham with little research and
virtually no knowledge of antenna systems and how they worked. 7 years later
and a great deal of experience later in building antennas and it's still up and
I have no plans to take it down. It does the job, BUT it needs a little
help to survive. I have had the beam down once to do maintenance on it. In the
slty air here it corrodes in a hurry. To help prevent this I cleaned all
connections with a wire brush and rubbed Ox-gard in ALL of them including in
the Ubolts ,boom to mast clamps and the elements. This has done the job.
Well this has been more then .02 worth
GL es God Bless
