Hi Dave and gang,
I have also what you describe except that the heatshrink does not
have any writing. I have the assembly instructions on it but
no manufactures name. It was in kit form and I remember putting it
together. I have a fax machine and can fax. I think I
have a PDF conversion program in the CAD program I have but have not
tried to use it. I you want can see if I can convert and see what
happens.
Kit consists of:
1 - axial lead 10pf cap
1 - copper plated steel spring
1 - collapsible antenna whip
1 - FT-221 heat shrink tubing
For 2mtrs only and can adjust the freq based on the location of the cap
tap on the coil. Center of BNC thru cap to somewhere between turn 4 and
5 for lowest swr on ctr of freq desired. It is a 1/2 wave ant and does
not need a ground plane with whip extended.
Must say that it does work quite well compared to the Ducky.. Was able
to hear stations a lot better. I still use it with the FT-10.
Hope this helps.
