[Antennas] RE: Strange Antenna ?????

Its a very old antenna.  Used in the 1920s.  It is a very broad band 
antenna  so you can cover an entire band without a tuner,  It is fed as 
a center fed dipole.  The multiple wires form the "skin" of a large 
diameter element (giving it the broad band characteristic).
