As to a next step, I'd suggest purchasing a copy of the ARRL Yagi book
and doing some careful study of your options and tradeoffs with this.

Another suggestion would to be track down the details as to W3LPL's
and K3LR, K8CC, and etc. ... as they went the 4L route, with roughly
the same boom lengths as the longer 3L ... to get gain, F/B, and SWR
without having to sacrifice any of the three parameters.

If F/B is your goal, I'd consider the effort ... if more gain is the goal,
then I really ponder the +/- of the expenses for the extra element.

Just a thought or two ...
