[Antennas] Using RG174 in mobile setup ??

Thanks for the replies & tips, Chris, Dan, Norm, Brian, Jerry, Jim
and Pat.
>From the input I received I desided to give the RG174 & RG8X mixed
feed a try, will keep RG174 as short as possible and try to find
about a meter of RG188 to replace the RG174 at some point. I'll leave
some extra RG8X under the back seat in case the mini coaxial idea
doesn't work well.
This solution is for local repeater work and public safety
monitoring, for long distance communications during traveling I'll
just "plug in" a gain magmount...
