[Antennas] Want HF No Radials Vertical

I have a neighbour (1km!) running one of those MFJ verticals. He can't hear
more than half the stuff I hear on my 33' crude, homebrew wire vertical on
40m (6 radials). Another pal who is 5km from us both, runs an inverted vee
dipole at about 70' and I am at most a S unit down (on some paths I am 1 s
unit stronger). Sorry, but we have concluded that those MFJs and other no
radials verticals are no good at all. Of course theory makes it obvious.

If ou have no space for radials I would recommend you try a vertical dipole
(even if it is loaded).

73,
Ron
