[Antennas] 1/2 Delta loop

Probably the best antenna I ever had for 80
meters was the 1/2 Delta Loop written about by
Doug Demaw, W1FB back in teh early 80's.
It had a very low angle of radiation and was
great for DX from West Texas.
I would like to put one up again for 40 meters.
The real problem with this antenna is the matching
system.
Supposedly it will work over a very wide range of
frequencies, but the impedance changes so
drastically that a tune is reqiured at the base
of the antenna.
Are there any old timer antenna gurus on this
reflector that remember this antenna, and if so,
would there be any way possible to erect this
thing and feed it with open wire or ladder feed line?
I don't think there would be any good way to do it,
but just thought I would ask in case someone knew of a way.
