   Handling the power is not good enough in some cases.
RG-58 can handle 1,000 Watts at HF, but into the wrong
antenna, a bad match, it will melt without notice.
Most HAM QRO applications need to be able to handle
all of the power during worst case conditions or you
will be sorry.
