[Antennas] Home Brew Balun Construction

I would like to experiment with different Folded Terminated Dipole 
antennas.  I would vary length, termination resistance and balun ratio 
and see how it affects SWR throughout the HF frequency range.   The 
problem seems t be how to home brew my own baluns that will work with 
up to 100 watts.  I have found a little on balu design on the internet 
but mostly for receive only.  I was going to construct my own using 
larger wire and torid or ferrite bar in an attempt to handle transmit.  
Does anyone have any suggestions or can your recommend a good book that 
deals with home brew baluns?
