Have fun with the project. I modified my 40+ year old Johnson
kWMatchbox, per LB's info. That is, added taps to the primary
link coil, and added tuning C in series with the link coil. Makes
the unit much easier to tune when the primary circuit is brought
to resonance at the desired frequency of operation. Then the
secondary capacitor settings are a snap. Both done using an
antenna analyzer switched into the circuit replacing the trans-
ceiver for tune up.
