Hi Folks,

Isn't it amazing how many people are experts on the G5RV
antenna, It never to ceases to amaze me how some folks
react when you tell them, oh, I have a G5RV. I think most
people will admit that a resonant dipole on any band will 
out perform it, but Louis Varney designed this antenna for 
limited space and primarily for 20 meters, the reason I know 
is I have worked him before his death and have one of his
qsl cards with a lot of his calls he held. 

So for you folks that think you know more than Louis did
when he designed the antenna, why aren't your callsign's on
any antennas currently in production. There most likely will
never be another antenna more debated than the G5RV, but
you notice most folks never took the time to tell Louis what
they thought about the G5RV, Rest is peace OM.
