Then your story is inconsistent. You originally said that the MFJ gave a 1:1
SWR on all bands. That is inconsistent with what you are saying now. If the
MFJ is providing a match, then the SWR sensing on the rig would show a match,
and that would be the end of it.
Disable the auto-tuner and use the MFJ to reduce the indicated SWR at the
transceiver. If that does not work. then the system is impropery
connected/configured and/or has some terrible RF floating around on the
station "ground" that is getting into something it shouldn't.
