Nice rant Ed.  To answer your question, a real ham could make a simple
dipole.  This is a technical hobby and here you are on the Antenna =
reflector.
Can you make a dipole?  If not, go join K1MAN and the few morons that =
follow

all my equipment does that not make me a real ham? Just what is a real =
ham? I thought it was someone licensed by the FCC that follows the rules =
and guidelines. Some people's egos need a tremendous amount of work and =
maybe they should try to feel good about themselves due to their being a =
good person and not because they got more or something different from =
someone else in a different way. Now before anyone takes offense this =
isn't aimed at anyone in particular. I am just tired of the code debate, =
the whining, the babified attitude and grown men acting like idiots even =
though they are very intelligent and have supposedly a high IQ. Off =
topic? Maybe but I stand by my statement a few months ago. If an antenna =
works for you and you enjoy it the heck with what anyone else thinks. =
