By going back to how come a Zepplin antenna got its name, it
shows that there is no such thing as a Double Zepp. The
main charisteric of the Zepplin antenna was that it was
designed as a single trailing wire which had a high-impedance
feed, i.e., a multiple of half-waves long, and fed with a
ballanced transmission line, one side of which was left
unterminated at the single wire feed point. If the transmission
line was an odd number of quarter-waves long, or close to it,
there would be a minimum of high-voltage corona near the
radio room. It would be out at the end of the transmission
line. Now, if we assign equal length wires to both sides of
the transmission line, (at its ends), its not a Zepplin
antenna anymore. Mine here is a center-fed dipole because
its a dipole, and its definately center fed. I don't
enjoy rocking the mailman's boat, but I am a student of
communications history for a long time.
