I've used the plastic coathangers and had them work out quite well. Cheap= , a number can be cut from the straight sections of each, drill easily, and available in a number of colors (I use white). I've had zero failure with= them, and while not as strong as fiberglas rod, they have held up perfect= ly well, are light, smaller in diameter, and cheap. = One opinion. =
