Follow, absolutely follow, the manufacturer's specifications for that 
concrete base, Jacqui!

You didn't say just what kind (or brand) of tower you plan to erect, so if 
you can provide more info, then maybe more folks on this reflector could 
positively help.

At the least, Jacqui, contact the manufacturer of your tower and ask them 
their advice on what kind of tensile strength you should use.

I am planning to put up a 55' crank-up, fold over up soon.  I will be
putting this in a block of cement 4x4x5.  Not sure on the cement if I
should use 3000?  My builder friend thought 5000 should be used. Any
comments?
