[Antennas] Low Noise Receive Antenna Needed

Hi All,

I am putting the finishing touches on my station for 160 meter operation
this winter.  I find I am in need of a low noise receive antenna.  I don't
have room for the larger type of receive antennas such as flags, pennants,
EWE's or even the full sized coaxial loop that would be about 7 or eight
feet across.

Does anyone on the list have a good design you might share for a smaller,
perhaps multiturn loop which would still do a great job rejecting local
noise?  Also, I will be using a PT3 which the seller told me has been
modified for use as just a receive preamp.  Can someone on the list tell me
if operation in this mode varies much from that described in the manual?
