Roger on that.  I load basically the quick connector and spring with a 
small stub on 2 meters.  It didn't have much of a dip on my antenna 
analyzer, so I'm using an antenna tuner in the trunk.  Works fine.  The 
stub is just long enough to put a small America flag on, so it's patriotic 
too :-)
