Spend less cash, put up a dipole or two.....they are better performers
being full size antennas, put two of them (one at 90deg to the other)
and switch between them at the rig...OR feed them 90 deg out of
phase like a turnstile for omni coverage...
But buying a Isotron wont SAVE you any money....or buy you any contacts
:)
OR you could put up a fullwave horiz loop as high as possible....
the Z of such is about 100 ohms.....use 70 ohm coax 1/4wl to match to
50ohm cable. Gives you omni coverage and easy to string up...use of
minimum 3 supports (can be triangle, square or circle...as long as
overall length is fullwave...233 inches is about the right length for
a fullwave 6mtr loop..make it a little long say to 240 and then trim
length to resonate and for lowest SWR....70ohm match section should be
36 3/4 in for .66 VF coax....check the rating of your 70ohm RG59 to see
what it is exactly...but I think most coax is 0.66 VF.
