Hello Juan...
   I don't think there is a service manual for the 259 analyzer.  But, I do have
4 sheets of schematics I would be happy to share.  These sheets are large ( 11 x
17 inches ), so I would have to have them reduced to scan.  I can copy this
size, just not scan here at work.

  I am repairing a 259 at the moment with a very similar symptom, and would
suggest you try the following test.  Set the switch for freq counter and put in
a known signal, and observe your indications .  If they are good, then the
problem is probably in the "front end " in the internal signal generator. Much
less to look for if you can narrow it down this way.  If you get the schematics,
I have test point voltages, too.

   Suggestion 2...Have a good set of POWERFUL magnifiers, and be confortable
working with SMT devices !!   Let me know.
