This has been very enlightening, I hope there is more to come.

I have used Jpoles for years since they were easy to build out of common
materials, inexpensive, and just this side of indestructible.

Please continue ... particularly on the points of proper feeding of a Jpole.
My next one may need a different diet. I am considering building one for
satellite work as well as the horizontal loop I mentioned earlier.
