[Antennas] loop vertical antenna ?

Hi All,

I use a 10m long vertical antenna with an Icom AH-4 tuner, and a total of 6 wires laid around the antenna as counterpoise plus direct ground. The  results are acceptable.
While watching my vertical being bend by snowstorm winds (worst in the last 50 years) I thought of maybe changing the vertical element to a different shape for less wind resistance and maybe better radiation.
I remember seeing some diamond shaped antennas on boats that resembled a diamond shaped loop strung on the main mast going upwards on one side and down the other.
Would a similar shaped antenna radiate better compared to a plain vertical element of the same hight ?
