Hi all;

Name is Rob, and my call's kc0bom. New to list, operate CW about 99% of
the time. Have a non-working Drake TR-3, and an MFJ 9040. Been an Extra
for about 2 weeks.

Now that the intro is out of the way, here's the question :^) I'm wanting
to play around with a NVIS setup, and was thinking about building a 3
element 40m beam pointing straight up (a little overboard, I know, but
it'll look neat :^) Plus I live out in the country so I have plenty of
real estate for it). Has anyone tried anything like this before? I was
playing around with QuickYagi the other night and found that the antenna
would be rather big... about 40 some-odd feet tall and a reflector of about
70 feet. Any way to "small it up" a bit?

72/73/oo
