[Antennas] Need a bit of wire advice

Bob,

First , I always use insulated wire for two reasons:  it lasts longer and it
is easier to work with.  You will find that insulated wire is electrically
long by about 2  or 3 percent, but this will in no way impact the
performance on HF.  It just means you will have to prune a little more off
than you thought.

Second, forget Radio Shack, or for that matter any place that sells
"antenna" wire.  Go to Home Depot or some other home or electrical supply.
Home Depot has 500 foot spools of #14 solid or stranded for about $15.
