Hi Hue and the list,
Such phones would be illegal in the UK too. There is nothing on the
market which claims such range that I have seen. Even the cordless
phones on 49Mhz that you use in the US are illegal here. A colleague of
mine has had severe EMC issues with the second harmonic of one of these
which has led to accusations of "snooping on private phone calls" etc.
Such fun, huh ?
If the vendor of the ebay phones is in the UK, I will look in to it from
this side of the pond.
