[Antennas] Extending Feedlines

Hi All,
It's been a few years since I've thought of doing this and I just don't
remember the specifics. I am moving my vhf/uhf collinear from a rooftop
tripod to my tower. Right now there is one single piece of RG8 feeding it.
However, this isn't long enough to reach the top of the tower. At these
frequencies, approximately how much do you all think I would lose going
through a barrel to add coax, which I already have, rather than incurring
the expense of purchasing one long run of new stuff? How about the same
thoughts for six meters? I don't want to start a debate here but am just
looking for some kind of consensus before I head to the radio store
tomorrow. <GRIN>
Thanks much and 73.
