[Antennas] RE: no radial vertical antennas

Hi Dave and Ed:
This is the design of the MFJ 1796 antenna. A vertically oriented dipole with loading coils and capacity tops which is fed by running coax through the lower portion of the dipole to the center point(within the lower tubing assembly) and a big RF choke at the point the coax first enters the antenna to stop the RF from backing up to the shack. Loads up fine, good, but narrow SWR on most bands, but a poor performer.
