I don't think EV's are waning, but they do have their limitations on
drive range and needing a 220 Volt outside outlet for recharging. I
could never stomach the idea of having to break up my trip and spend a
few hours while topping up. I think they are best for urban driving.
Yes, there is a lot of push back from NAB, broadcasters, for the
omission of AM radios in some new EV's. Crazy, what are the car makers
thinking? (cheap)

I wonder what would happen if a HF mobile was placed in an EV? What if
it was QRO, like kW power?

Thanks for sharing about the RDS on your FM's. Dallas is a big market.

Wife's car has the overhead fake view also. Same thing, a white or
silver model there.

I’m guessing re-radiation from the lines is tearing up the AGC. There’s also some garbage associated with passing Semi’s. I saw someone mention this recently.

We’re transmitting RDS data on the FM’s telling you what station you’re listening to, what song is playing, and who the artist is plus “Artist Experience” that shows you a picture of the artist / album cover. My 2016 is just a too old for the picture bit, but the RDS is fully functional which lets me verify that we’re transmitting the data if someone complains they’re not getting any.

It’s a pretty cool feature but you can tell it’s synthesized because the SUV in the picture is silver and my car is maroon / burgundy aside from the fact that there’s no tall mast on the car with a downward looking camera…….
