In the, 'Who's listening' category, if you are near a large metro area, there are many stations that are not just broadcasting in Spanish. I have wondered if anybody is actually monitoring those stations for content. An English language station can make a screw ball off the wall comment, and it goes viral, demanding immediate action to the station or the person who made the vitriolic comment. What exactly is that station in NYC, Chicago, or similar diverse ethnic metropolis broadcasting in the native various languages of their immigrant population? Apparently the FCC cares about that with the same intensity as their concern about foulness that happens on the ham bands.

On the more technical side, I started an application for a commercial shortwave broadcast station, just to see what it would take. After I sloughed off the extreme expense involved in the licensing procedure to see what else lay in store, got to the area where the FCC outlined the parking lot with how many handicap spaces it had to have. I quit.
